LISTENNessa Goldman grew up in a tight-knit and rather large Jewish family in Toronto, Canada. Being from a family of prolific storytellers, sharing stories came naturally, and family dinners are always a boisterous occasion filled with laughter and hidden gems of family history. Always a bit of a black sheep, she found herself more at home when close to the mountains and ocean and relocated to a small town in the Pacific Northwest. Away from her community, it was important to find an outlet to share stories, and in 2019 she started a bi-monthly local storytelling event, the Out Loud Story Slam, which she hosts. Her storytelling has been featured on Story Collider and Story Night.
