Jude dreamed of romance and magic of NYC at Christmas, but in her 20s, in her first Christmas in NYC, Jude was poor and depressed. Visiting a friend at a busy restaurant, she suddenly found herself waiting tables and getting huge tips from patrons who loved that she’d jumped in despite not being a waitress.
