This episode encapsulates why I love Risk!
I was closing the bar where I work and, lo and behold, there’s a new episode of Risk! So, of course, I fire up the episode as I’m cleaning the detritus from an almost wonderful night (yeah, there’s a story there, but isn’t there always?). I’m cleaning glasses when Nzingha concludes her story (no spoilers) and I literally shouted, “YES!!!”, in an empty bar. Then Marya recounts her story and I’m on the edge of my seat, except I’m count money, but I’m utterly riveted because my family is just as odd in its own special way (yeah—more stories).
Frankly, my night of work ended poorly but those wonderful women and their spectacular stories made me smile and feel less alone.
What’s better than that?
