Richard Velazquez is a Los Angeles-based solo performer, writer, and teaching artist. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and a former executive television producer for Discovery, National Geographic, and History, he returned to live performance after 25 years behind the camera. His solo show “Nancy” earned Best Solo Show and Top of Festival honors, and his developing catalog mines his Lower East Side childhood, Jehovah’s Witness upbringing, and a life chasing chaos worldwide.
