David J. Halperin

David Halperin grew up in Pennsylvania and spent his teen years studying the Bible and also UFOs. Eventually he fused these interests, and his love of storytelling, as a professor of Judaic Studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Now retired, he lives in Durham, NC, with his wife Rose. His novel, Journal of a UFO Investigator, was published in 2011 by Viking Press, and his non-fiction Intimate Alien: The Hidden Story of the UFO, by Stanford University Press in 2020. His second novel, The October Man, is set in wartime Israel in the 1970s.
