Kris Grey

Kris Grey is a New York City-based transgender artist and educator who mines hidden histories and invites audiences into states of extreme vulnerability through performance. For over a decade, they co-led Gender/Power, a storytelling and movement-based project that helped people uncover and share the personal narratives that shape their lives. Grey’s own practice spans performance, writing, and installation, often using the body as raw material to archive queer experience in real time. Whether on stage, in the classroom, or in the studio, Kris is driven by the belief that telling our most personal truths creates connection and sparks transformation.
