Eli Matilda found storytelling through the birth of their first child, which was not a human child but a therapeutic solo performance called Water Choke, which went to “day-care” at Toronto Fringe Festival and Atlantic Fringe Festival where it played to intimate crowds and made people cry, think, love and feel the hidden parts. This inspired her venturing into becoming a drama therapist, to hold space for humans to share their most vulnerable stories, and to help transform those trauma stories into transcendent stories. When not holding space, he shares his stories through RISK!, film, music, and with loved ones.
