Usually, when I have Risk playing at work over my earbuds, I worry about laughing too hard, or about someone in the next cubicle catching a bit of excessive tawdriness. Today, though, it’s all about getting caught crying at my desk. Thank you so much, Allison, for sharing this with us; I think I’m actually kind of angry that I won’t be able to meet Hans in this lifetime, but I’m grateful that we all got to meet him through you, and be reminded that we could all stand to say “yes” more often.
And oh dear gods’ golden gravy boat, do I want to play a game of sex Scrabble now….
Ben Garant has to be my favourite guest on Risk- ever. He seems like such a great person, and I love the way he tells stories. Two of my favourite things ever (I’ve gone back to listen to each several times) are his stories of he & his wife maybe getting drugged (and raped?! aahhh) by some old people at a creepy bread&breakfast, and his personal story of doing drugs and figuring out who he was, etc. He’s also told a ghost story, and now this, and I’ll always look forward to him coming on again (because hopefully he never stops being on this show).
