    1. Hi there

I just listened to the podcast and found most of it fantastic, as usual. However Trouble Jones’ story made me extremely uncomfortable, to the extent I think it required a warning.

I really, really, don’t like listening to a story when its success requires that the audience laughs along with the hijinks that follow a woman’s alleged rape. A woman who is not the speaker, is not there to speak for herself, and who we are clearly being asked to see as the ‘baddie’ in the story.

I found it self-involved, unfunny, devoid of reflection, tone deaf and disturbing.

Kevin, I’m disappointed you chose this story. I don’t have a problem with explicit or challenging stories. However this story was not up to your usual standard and puts me off listening to future shows.

    2. Nami,
Did you listen to the whole story?

    3. Trouble Jones tells a very disturbing story but one that deserves to be heard. So many boys go through life scarred by the sexual abuse done to them by adults and many times do not talk about it. We focus mostly on girls and their woes- and that is good- but tend to ignore boys and their troubles and how they can be victims too. Nami’s comment is a quite disoriented one and I get she either didn’t listen to the whole thing or just decided to not believe the victim… I won’t even go into that.

Kevin, excellent show. Love your show and the risks you take to leave us in awe over and over again. Keep up the good work!

    4. I must recant at least part of my opinion expressed above. In fact I must that I somewhat agree with Nami and I apologize to her. English is not my first language and sometimes I get confused.

      Kevin, you are awesome.
