Kevin… This episode should have had a trigger warning, yes this is risk and its unpredictable but if someone who was or is self harming listened to this as their first episode the second episode would be considered VERY triggering…

I think that if we were to judge an episode on its content alone, there would have to be some sort of warning on EVERY episode, which takes away from the purpose of the show.

Kate’s story is introduced as “Roomies!”

I think: “Gosh, this is going to be one of those stories that brings back horrific memories of freshman year, isn’t it?”

Story starts: “So I’m 17. And I’m about to leave home for freshman year…”

I think: “YUP.”

Story continues: “…at York College.”

I think: “WHAT”

Same college as me, similarly awful roomie situation. Never has a RISK story been so relatable! Never have I been more certain that YCP pairs freshman roommates less like a matchmaker and more like a sadistic social experiment!

Ashton! Thanks for the tip! We’ve amended the episode to include the trigger warning you recommended.

Thank you so much, it may have been controversial to say self harm trigger deserves you guys to put in that much effort to change it because anyone can claim something is triggering. I really appreciate it!
