I don’t see the point of this rant…
I don’t see the point of that comment…
He certainly doesn’t bother making himself likeable — which isn’t necessarily bad and isn’t a reflection of who he is in real life.
But it’s interesting he goes with the “stupid old man” take as opposed to empathy, especially when the audience was “Awww”ing. (I also felt for the old guy rather than the mathlete by the end of the story.) He wrapped up so quickly after that, maybe he sensed the misstep.
Again, I’m talking about the version of himself he presents in this story, not Gil Ozeri as a human being.
