Great show!
Great show. Thanks for sharing!
Just a thought—while listening to Ridley’s story (“Shaking”), I remembered some of the bullies I knew and heard of when I was a teen (16-18 yrs. old). These were some really mean and violent boys who went out of their way to beat other kids up…and I mean real ass-kicking beatdowns, too. It turned out that a couple of years later, quite a few of them came out as gay males. Looking back, I wonder if their violent behavior was just a reflection of their own self-hate or a venting of their frustrations/insecurities. I also wonder if they felt any remorse for their actions later, or just decided to move on and bury their pasts.
Anyways. It never ceases to amaze me, the amount of courage it takes for the individuals on RISK to share their stories in all their honesty. And that’s why I keep coming back for this, because RISK encourages people to take risks and open up about their best or worst experiences. Thanks again.
